I just found out that when my Oma [Grandmother] was coming over to America from Germany, she left about 2 weeks before Hitler invaded. I forget the circumstances but if he had invaded before she left the ship would have been suspended and she would never have made it over. And the scary thing is, Hitler was planning to invade 2 weeks earlier but one of his officials said that Italy was not ready. Again idk the exact circumstances or really what Italy has to do with it, but due to that one official, I am here today! '
