I just finished reading, that the first 150 Colleges in the United States were all founded by Christians, as were every major college in Europe.
I just finished my World Views in Conflicts class. The teacher acknowledged a point I had in my answer to these questions:

1 Reflection Question: Does a persons belief in the existence of God affect his or her life? If yes, give an example of how that belief may affect his or her ideas about life.

2 Reflection Question: Francis Schaeffer said, The basic problem of the Christians in this country in the last eighty years or so, in regard to society and in regard to government, is that they have seen things in bits and pieces instead of totals.î What does Schaeffer mean by ì=bits and pieces?

In response: 1
'Yes a personís belief may affect his or her ideas about life. For example, a Christian knows exactly where life begins. It begins and a little speck that God created. Thatís why we know that abortion is bad. Also, Christians do not fear death like unbelievers do. They know that theyíre going to heaven. Also little thing like, Christians should not say ëthese gas prices are ridiculous. Theyíre getting out of control!í, because that shows lack of faith that God will provide. So knowing God, and knowing he exists does change the way you treat yourself, others, and affects your views about life the universe and everything.'

:2
'He means that we see thing only as they apply to us, instead of applied to the world. For instance people who acknowledge moral relativism say that no war is right. But, of course they say that because applied to their lives in 2008, no war is right. But what about men like Hitler and the Naziís, and the small countries that were being ëbulliedí by them? Should we not have helped them? Also without war, and rebellion, where would we be today (we might not)? However, they only think in terms of their life today instead of the big picture'

He enjoyed my example abut the gas prices as well.

Nothing else is worth mentioning today thus far. Except maybe my cousin sent me the new Alkaline Trio album.

One more thing, I'm working through the tutorial for the editing program for my new Mac-book. That's going well and i hope to have my movie finished before 'The Inner War'.

That is all.
School is well.

Did you just say you finished your World Views in Conflict class? As in, you got like, sixteen weeks ahead?

Anyway, the second question is quite interesting. On the whole, I agree with your answer, though your specification of "moral relativists" confuses me. Why them? I am pretty sure there are others who think all war is bad. Also, a Christian moral relativist is pretty much an oxymoron, though I have no doubt that there are purported Christians who hold such views. But regardless, I'm just curious as to why moral relativists.

You have a mac-book? Cool! :) And, in addition to being quite likely, I think it would be very funny if you got your movie edited before Joe's.

I think I stated it wrong. But it was just an example. As for 'why them', I don't really know. Like I said I needed and example, I guess I could have used Moral Pluralism.

Yes I got a new macbook a while ago, and a new ipod touch. Very exciting.

At this point, getting done before Joe isn't going to be that hard.

Okay. That makes sense. :)

Oh yes. Very cool. You'll definately have to show me the macbook sometime. P.S. You should get Linux to run on it. ;)

lol Yeah, that's not at all surprising. Joe seems to be procrastinating or something.
